The apprentice reminds me of my son Jamie, whom you were talking to at Park Hall on Wednesday. I say they both should team up together, haha. I went almost 3 years without a sku system, i got up to a store size of 1700 items without one, and i rarely was in a position of not being able to find the item and i was happy with that. but 3 months ago i started sku'ing it wasnt for the purpose of having a sku but more an all in one upgrade. I had stangnant items on ebay that i wanted to refreshed, so i though i will do everything in one go, refresh the listing, new pictures, new desciption, a sku number, bagged and stored in tubs. I didnt realise how much of a game changer the sku system would be, highly recommend it. I'm still working through my old stock its a mammoth task but well worth it. I personally have a simple sku system of Letter and number (K453), the letter is the tub and the number is cronalogical from the start so i will run from 1 to 100000 but use the letters to seperate them, i sell clothing only so i can get upto around 60 in a tub, i just need to get the correct tub and look through for the correct labeled bag, much quicker than my previous none sku system, i was storing my clothing by type and colour, like a pile of black tshirts but i could have 150 tshirts to look through, but could also be a pain because on the picture it might look black but was infact dark grey. the sku system takes all those possible time sinks away, leaving more time for listing.

I SKU everything Dave. One additional benefit which you haven’t touched upon is how SKU makes book keeping simple. Every item of mine is listed on a sales register spreadsheet. It shows the SKU, Status whether selling or sold, amount paid, sold for price, fees, postage and net profit. All ties back to your SKU. 👍

Spotted that 4 Button LiPo RC battery charger straight away, lot of cheaper Chinese ones knocking about but some can be worth money, couldn't see the maker and no price. did have a look around but couldn't find anything that looked like that model. Would have been worth a better look.

Great video Dave, I have been through so many SKU and storage options, I’m currently keeping it simple as I can as I’m decluttering my own stuff-I didn’t know you could do the SKU on a mobile which is a game changer for me as I use an iPad 99% of the time.
